by dropout
1. Traffic Jam
Traffic
jam is one of the greatest problems not only for the people of big cities but
also for the people of small towns. The causes of traffic jam are may. Firstly,
roads and streets are not being constructed with the growing population and the
increasing number of vehicles. Secondly, vehicles are parked alongside the
pavement in two and three columns. This leaves a narrow space for passing
traffic. Thirdly, buses do not care about bus stops to board and unboard
passengers. Fourthly, traffic jams are being caused by a lack of knowledge of
traffic rules and poor driving. Traffic police are also corrupted enough to
misuse the traffic laws for their personal interest. When the passenger are
found to stay on their way in vehicles cause by traffic jam they become
impatient. During the office time this kind of situation creates mental stress.
Some of the people are also punished due to not being punctual for this unavoidable
circumstances. School and college-going students also fall a victim to such a
condition. The bad effect of traffic jam does not cause sufferings to the
people but also slow down our economic development process. As working people
are compelled to spend their time in idleness, it certainly causes to slow down
the economic development. In order to stop traffic jam, unlicensed vehicles
should be removed from the roads. Traffic police should be enough so that
drivers are bound to obey the traffic laws. It is important to check overtaking
tendency. License should be given only to the trained drivers to stop traffic
jam.

2. The person I like the most / My Mother
The
person I like
the most is my mother. She is one of the most fun-loving people I have
ever
seen. She is also very smart and independent. But what I like most about
her is
her helpful nature. She never ignores an opportunity to help someone in
need.
She is also very fond of children. My friends also like her. She has a
good
sense of humor which is often targeted at my father. My father doesn’t
mind,
though. My grandmother told me once that she used to be a very naughty
and
willful child and gave her teachers a very hard time. But as she also
got good
marks they were not angry with her for long. My mother is a
multi-talented
person. She can write well, sing and paint. She works as a creative
writer
and earns a lot of money, a portion of which she spends on charity. Her
favorite
charities include education for poor women. My mother buys a
lot of things for me. She buys books, clothes, and she even bought an
exotic pair of pigeon for me. For this she had to argue with my father
for he didn’t want to
have pets in the house. But she managed to convince him for she knew
that I love pigeon badly. Sometimes I think that she is still a child at
heart. She
has never broken a promise she has made to me. She often tells my father
that
one shouldn’t make a promise if one can’t keep it even if it is made to a
child. She encourages me to be the best in all that I do. She is more
like a friend to
me and there is nothing that I can’t share with her. That is why I like
her the
most.

4. A Street Accident
The
accident took place beside the turning of Nilkhet at Newmarket in Dhaka. At 10
am. The accident took place dreadfully. An old man carrying with a stick was
then crossing the Nilkhet turning. Suddenly a very speedy truck was coming from
his right side. The old man was slow in walking. Unfortunately the speedy truck
was couldn't brake and the man was run over by the truck. The name of that old
man was unknown. The situation where the accident occured, was completely
excited and agitated about the careless driving of the truck driver. I was very
shocked at this pathetic sight. Actually the accident was heart rending. Tears
rolled down from my cheeks at this. On the other hand, I was very angry with
the truck driver. The angry crowd stopped the truck, beat the driver
mercilessly, broke the truck and they finally handed him over the police
disposal. With some conscious crowd I tried to take the oldman to the hospital
but he was dead on the spot. Really it was a pathetic scene.
